A tribute was paid to Jabbour Douaihy on September 25 at Ehden.

Jabbour Douaihy died on July 23, at the age of 72 in Ehden, a village in northern Lebanon and his hometown. He leaves behind him an important work of romance, crucial for the Lebanese literature.

Twice a finalist for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction, he was awarded the Prize for Arabic Literature jointly organised by the Arab World Institute and the Lagardère Foundation for his novel "Chased Away".

Many high Lebanese dignitaries were present for this last tribute, in Ehden.
