The festival aims to strengthen the bonds of unity between the different components of the Algerian people, according to the Minister of Culture and Arts, Wafa Chaâlal.
24 artistic groups and six folklore troupes - including those from the wilayas of Béjaïa, Batna, Ghardaïa and Ouargla - host the 12th edition of this festival, which pays tribute to several Amazigh artists.
The participating troupes present five different Amazigh genres: Targui,Chaoui, Chaoui,Chaoui, Mozabite,Chaoui, Kabyle, Kabyle and Zenet..
The festival starts with exhibitions of takouba, tassouat, tindi, baroud, tizengharet and karkabou dances.
Artistic nights are scheduled throughout the festival, in addition to exhibitions of traditional crafts and tours of archaeological sites of the region.
