Three paintings by the artist were exhibited at the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria dei Angeli e dei Martyri in Rome. Tahar Ben Jelloun, accompanied by the Kingdom's ambassador to Italy, Youssef Balla, unveiled his frescoes "bearing a great message of peace", as part of a vibrant tribute to Judge Rosario Livatino, assassinated by the mafia in September 1990 and beatified in 2022.
"I am proud that Morocco is represented in this sublime cathedral," Moroccan painter told the Moroccan Agency Press. He aspires to "contribute, through his art and sensitivity, to interreligious and intercultural dialogue and to transmit tolerance and coexistence, secular values of my country".
