The event ends on July 8, and it opened with the play “The Clown” by late Syrian writer and poet Mohammed Al Maghout.
15 shows are presented over 6 days, and 6 Palestinian troupes participate in the festival: the Palestinian National Theater (Al-Hakawati) of Jerusalem, the troupe of messages (Nablus) and the theater of freedom (Jenin), the Al-Qasbah theater (Ramallah), the Arab theater Al Saraya (Jaffa), the Al-Mahbash theater of Rahat, in addition to three performances of the Ishtar theater. Internationally, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Romania and the United States also participate.
This festival contributes to promote the living Palestinian arts, as well as young talents.
