Approximately thirty new Arabic publications were nominated, including :
- "Au commencement était le verbe" by Amel Bouchereb
- « La mort du capitaine » by Hamid Abdelkader
- Mémoire sans couleur" by Nadia Ben Rabie
- « Une heure après la patrie » by Asmaa Belghachem
- « La lampe de la porte de l’ouest » by Djaili El Ayachi
- « Tout ce qui reste » by Hakima Djomana Djeribie.
The committee also selected eight authors in Tamazight :
- Aoudia Zohra
- Massika Touati
- Abelkader Abdi
- Mina Aggaz-Yahiaoui
- Hamid Bessad
- Cylia Moula.
Regarding French books, more than 40 novels and collections of short stories were selected, such as :
- « Zelda » by Meriem Guemache
- « Le mauvais génie » by Nadjib Stambouli
- « Sur le chemin des sables en feu » by Brahim Sadok
- « Faim blanche » by Amin Zaoui
- « Derrière les larmes de ma grand-mère » by Ferroudja Ousmer
- « Le seuil du moment » by Leila Hamoutene.
This literary prize, named after Algerian novelist Mohamed Dib (1920-2003), aims at encouraging Algerian writers publishing in Arabic, Amazigh and French. It was created in 2011.
