POPC, the new pop culture platform which supports artists from the MENA region.

Created by Amna Aijaz, Haroon Tahir and Arafaat Ali Khan, the platform allows Arab artists to sell their works without being subjected to a time limit. It is true that new talents only have a handful of days to market their art via auctions or pop-up stores. POPC fills the gap with this art marketing platform which allows these pop culture talents to be visible all year long.

On the POPC website, buyers and pop culture fans can find specially designed merchandise from Middle Eastern designers and artists, who receive a fixed commission on the sale of each product.

Designers are allowed to sell their products through their own individual storefronts on the marketplace without membership fees, with production and shipping handled entirely by the platform.

"Another thing we're also working on is an Arabic comic book reader, one of the first Arabic readers in the region, which will include some really cool titles, including manga studios, which I can't quite disclose yet." Haroon Tahir, interviewed for Arab News.
