Hold at the Institut of Islamic Cultures in Paris and in Bétonsalon from 19 January to 16 April 2023, Katia Kameli's solo exhibition is entitled "Yesterday is coming back and I hear it".
The exhibition at the Institut of Islamic Cultures shows the artist's work of her last twenty years, exploring Algerian cultural heritage through different media (photography, installations, drawings, videos).
The exhibition at Bétasalon is set up around the "Algerian Novel", with three videos produced between 2016 and 2019. I gives a polyphonic narrative where intimate and collective stories tell the complexities of the colonial past.
