Mawaheb: a studio showcasing the work of disabled artists

The studio, the name of which means "talents" in Arabic, is dedicated to disabled artists. Located in the Al Quoz district of Dubai, it currently showcases the work of some 20 artists living in the United Arab Emirates. The studio is also animated by students who come and give different workshops during the week: painting, yoga, sign language, etc.

The director, Wemmy de Maaker, hopes to turn the studio into a coworking space, which would allow Dubai residents to interact with a sometimes marginalised community.
