As part of its celebrations of the Silver Jubilee, Bait Al Zubair Foundation is organising Bait Al Zubair Sufi Music Festival (second edition) over three nights. All activities are free of charge.
The Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort Theatre is hosting the festival from 23 to 25 January. Sufi music groups will sing poems by great poets such as Omar Ibn Al Faridh (Egypt), Rabia al Adawiyya al Qaysiyya (Iraq) and Sheikh Jaed Al-Kharousi.
Other participants in the festival will include Sheikh Hamed Dawood (Syria), the Omani Zawyia Band (Oman), and the Al Hadrah group for Sufi music (Egypt).
