Despite a complicated economy, new reading spaces open their doors. Focus on the Barzakh cultural space, in Hamra, Beirut.

Barzakh is a café-library offering film screenings, poetry readings, conferences and informal "music salons" or concerts. In addition to new literary releases, Barzakh offers a range of second-hand books and archival material, some of which is not for sale.

It provides access to more than 50,000 books, magazines, publications and cassettes.
