There is Coco, the young Franco-Lebanese woman well-settled in her life; Raya, the stereotypical young Lebanese woman looking for a wealthy husband; the prudish Mona; Dominique, the French friend who tries to learn the Lebanese dialect to be better integrated into the MakMak family; And finally the MakMak mother, a caricature of the Lebanese mothers. They all live in Courbevoie, near Paris.
