The Beirut Soloists

This new vocal ensemble, founded in 2021 and directed by Fernanda Afara, is composed of fifteen professional singers who wish to promote different repertoires by favouring dialogue between cultures. These soloists have just given a series of concerts in the Lebanese capital, at the National Museum, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the National Conservatory, at the Assembly Hall of the American University, at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and at the Sacred Heart Church of Gemmayze.

The ensemble is composed of

  • sopranos with Valérie Mikhaël, Violetta Damaa, Georgette Sawaya, Christelle Naoum, Christèle Élias ;
  • mezzo-sopranos with Évelyne Wehbé, Marianne Naoum, Élise Saber, Salma Ghazali, Rana Yammine, Gioia Saber, Maya Hachem;
  • tenors and baritones with Serge Medawar, Saba Younès, Élias Hachem, and Élie Hélou.
