Several initiatives and actions were taken in Algeria this week.
Firstly, the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of Culture and Arts have decided to collaborate in order to protect the ruins on a site in the wilaya of Tébessa, at the heart of a phosphate exploitation project.
Secondly, several restoration projects in Constantine should be completed by the end of the year. If some buildings had seen their restoration funds frozen, construction should resume and be completed as soon as possible. This statement by the Ministry of Culture and Arts especially concerns the rehabilitation of El Kettania school and the development of the national museum of arts.
Finally, three rehabilitation projects focusing on archaeological sites were launched in Mila, regarding the Abu Mouhadjir mosque, the old quarter of Mila, and two archaeological sites of El Mechira and Ouled Khelouf.
