Dubai Sky Tower: this will be the world's tallest hotel, measuring 365 metres and surpassing the previous record of 356 metres set by the Gevora Hotel in the city's marina.
The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi:Currently under construction on Saadiyat Island, the Abrahamic Family House aims at promoting and preserving the heritage of the three Abrahamic religions - Islam, Christianity and Judaism. The venue was designed by Sir David Adjaye and is due to open this year.
The Great Egyptian Museum in Cairo: designed by Heneghan Peng Architects (Dublin) and located two kilometres from the Giza pyramids, the museum is expected to be the largest archaeological museum in the world, hosting important artefacts from ancient Egypt.
The Iconic Cairo Tower: the building is expected to be the tallest skyscraper in Africa, standing 385 metres high and with 78 floors. It will be the centrepiece of the new administrative capital's business district, a mega-project launched by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in 2015. Dar Al-Handasah, an architectural firm founded in Beirut in 1956 with a main design centre in Cairo, is responsible for the project, which began in 2018.
