The Asir region in southwestern Saudi Arabia hosted this second edition of the event, which invited fourteen international groups and sixteen Saudi ensembles to share their unique dance and storytelling traditions.
The week-long event is one of the only festivals in the world dedicated to the performing arts in mountainous regions. Artists from Morocco, China, South Korea, Switzerland and India participated to explore their common artistic themes.
Performances were held at the historic Malik Palace in Asir, Al-Mushait Palaces, Abu Nuqata al-Mutahmi, Basta al-Qabil, Abu Shahra Palace in Al-Masqi, Chamsan Castle and Ben Adwan Heritage Village.
