Launch of the Music Days of Carthage.

If this eighth edition of the JMC will welcome, like the previous ones, music professionals from the Arab world, this year there will be no competition (as in 2022). The president of this edition is Tunisian singer Dorsaf Hemdani. Forty shows presented by eighteen Arab and African countries are planned. On the sidelines of the JMC, the hall of the Cité de la Culture will host for the first time the "JMC Market" from 22 to 28 January 2023. It will be open to exhibitors working in the music industry. Luthiers, musical instrument makers, designers, collectors, vinyl and HI-FI equipment sellers will all be welcomed at the JMC Market.

The opening night paid tribute to many artists, including Tunisians Alia Sellami and Faouzy Chkili and the Egyptian composer and conductor Selim Sahab.

The main shows will take place at the great hall of the Opera Theatre. Other shows will take be at the Theatre of the Regions and the Rio Hall in downtown Tunis.
