The Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco holds a colloquium entitled "The invention of writing and the state of narrative in African languages" from 18 to 20 January at its headquarters in Rabat.

This meeting is part of the activities of the Chair of African Literature and Arts, which was created in May 2022.
The idea is to explore the state of storytelling in Africa "through old and new African languages which are considered as different options to translate thoughts, resistance as well as the community experience," according to a statement from the Academy.
