The event is held next February in the emirate of Sharjah, after a long hiatus due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The Sharjah Gulf Theatre Festival was established in 2015 and happens once every two years at the Palace of Culture Theatre.
The Omani troupe chose to perform the play 'Sidrat Al-Sheikh', a choice made from 15 scripts and revisiting a the history of the Sultanate.
