The competition saw, during four days (from 4 to 7 January) at the regional theatre Kateb-Yacine of Tizi-Ouzou, the participation of seven puppet troupes.
The winning play, "El Mahara", written by Kerrass Kamel and produced by Fouad Ben Doubaba, is about the dangers of pollution, especially for marine fauna.
These days aim to promote the art of puppetry, especially in Tizi-Ouzou, where this theatrical genre is almost non-existent.
