The monument is one of the thirty-one sites listed in the nomination file of the Island of Djerba to be recognised by the UNESCO World Heritage. While waiting for the restoration work to begin, it has been agreed to place barriers around the monument to prevent visitors from approaching areas that are a danger to their safety.
