Eighteen countries participated in the festival in the Omani sultanate. The prize for the best international film was won by young Moroccan director Ouijdane Khllid for her short film "Tender Threads", for which she is also the scriptwriter. The film also won the Grand Prize at the Luxor African Film Festival in 2022.
The prize for the best Omani film was awarded to directors Hamad Qassabi and Ali Siyabi for "Ahmed's Car". Finally, the Jury Prize was awarded to Syrian director Anas al-Zawahiri for his short film "A very ordinary day".
