The ten-episode Arabic-language comedy-drama centres around the story of Youssef, a filmmaker who wants to produce his first film, "The Silent Bullet". Played by actor Georges Khabbaz, Youssef adapts his pitch to each production company, inevitably leading to a transformation of his script which becomes more and more similar to world-famous movies such as 'Casablanca' or 'Taxi Driver'.
Georges Khabbaz describes Youssef's role as a modern-day Charlie Chaplin.
"Brando El Sharq" stars Amal Arafa (Syria), Jihad Saad (Syria), Camille Salameh (Lebanon), Zeina Makki (Lebanon) and Talal Jurdi (Lebanon). The series is produced by Sadek Sabbah of Cedar Arts Productions.
