Founder of the Qormuz fashion house, the young Saudi designer believes in the universality of the kingdom's traditional outfits. "In the past, it was the Japanese kimono, from another culture rich in tradition, that inspired all the world's brands. Our culture has a power that few people have yet realised." - interview with Al-Abed for Arab News.
His 'jubba', made for actor Mohammed el-Shehri this summer, went viral on social media after the actor's appearance on the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival. Combining modernity and tradition in his designs, always using quality fabrics, his creations appeal to many celebrities. Last February, it was model Linda Qari who surprised the audience with a dress inspired by Saudi pigeon houses.
