Moroccan art at the Queen Sophie Museum in Madrid.

The National Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Museum, in collaboration with the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art - Qatar Museums and the Qatar Foundation, hosts "Moroccan Trilogy", an exhibit ending on September 27.

Madrid museum Director Manuel Borja-Villel and Doha Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Director Abdellah Karroum organised it.

The exhibition analyses how the country's artistic practices developed in three crucial stages since Morocco’s independence, the 1st stage being the search for identity in the 1950s/1960s, the 2nd one being internal conflicts between the 1970s/1980s, and the 3rd stage being today with current socio-economic and political challenges.
