Opening in Tunis of the World Congress of French-Language Writers.

French-speaking novelists, essayists, poets and authors from 14 countries on five continents address questions of language, identity, the importance of the French-speaking network in the world and its positive impact on each of the countries represented.

It is held following the event “Etats Généraux du livre en langue française dans le monde”, as a prelude to the Francophonie Summit to be hosted in Djerba on November 20 and 21.

The decision was made to invite authors representing the French-language literature from the five Continents.

The Literary Committee is made up of Leïla Slimani (Morocco –France), Fawzia Zouari (Tunisia – France), Laurent Gaudé (France) and Felwine Sarr (Senegal).
