The Policy Center for the New South is organising the first Africa Economic Symposium (AES). The event aims to become the leading annual pan-African gathering of eminent economists to help shape Africa's economic future.
In addition to addressing contemporary challenges in macroeconomic management, this year's theme is "The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation in Africa's Economic Growth".
With over 150 participants from 20 different nationalities taking part in the discussions, the focus will be on the transformative capacity of industrial policies to strengthen R&D, technological growth and innovation across the continent.
