The exhibition runs from 23 September to 30 November. It marks the opening of the Montresso Foundation's cultural season, and is the result of a residency by artists Nafie Ben Krich, Anas Guermouj, Sabrine Larach and Malek Sordo.
"From drawing to sculpture, via painting, the artists open up and offer spaces for reflection for those willing to discover other narratives. Both founding elements and coordinators of self-presence, the works of these four artists reveal poetic, political and cultural imaginaries approached from a wide variety of subjects and contexts." - press release.
Anas Guermouj's work focuses on the iconography of transport, while Sabrine Larach plays with the elements of sewing to tell the story of her childhood. Malek Sordo explores the themes of otherness and the repression of emotions, while Nafie Ben Kirch devotes herself to the markers of sedentarisation (wheel, anvil, gas bottle, etc.).
