The centre created this training programme in 2022 to develop and promote the kingdom's handicrafts.
The programme starts with a workshop on the art of embroidery from Al Naqda. This art is part of the traditional Bahraini heritage. In the past, women's clothes were embroidered by hand with silver thread using a special needle called Al Naqda.Today, women use the same technique for modern products.
The next workshop will focus on mosaics.
