Villa Salammbô residency

Ten winners have been selected for the fourth Villa Salammbô artistic residency, initiated by the French Institute. Projects in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, music, film and documentary, literature and humanities and social sciences were selected by a committee meeting in March 2023. The ten winners were selected among sixty-nine other applications.

This residency programme is intended for French creators, thinkers and researchers living in France or on the African continent (outside Tunisia) wishing to stay in Tunis to carry out a cultural project which fosters collaboration with Tunisian partners.

The winners are:

  • Visual arts: Anne-Lise Broyer, Souad Mani and S.K. Lynn, Séverine Sajous and Afef Omri.
  • Performing Arts: Mehdi Dakan and Romane Piffaut
  • Music: Ahmed Litaiem and Simon Groppe, Marc-Antoine Millon.
  • Cinema: Yves Piat and Elina Chared.
  • Literature: Mabrouk Rachedi.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: Martine Laca.
