Synopsis : "Amel has a job as a factory worker. She lives with her husband Tahar and their son Moumen, a teenager and talented goalkeeper. In order to convince the factory boss to put her in touch with Imed, a businessman who could get her son into the soccer business, Amel betrays her fellow workers who are preparing a strike. Imed takes advantage of the situation and abuses her. A massive scandal erupts. Amel is accused of adultery and prostitution. Moumen, abandoned to his fate, sinks into the city's underworld. Released after months in prison, Amel searches for her son in the underworld and must face a Tunisian society in free fall." "

Mehdi Hmili shares his personal story in this second feature film. He tells the story of a childhood spent in the underprivileged areas of Tunis, the story of a shattered football career, the story of the relationship with his mother. Above all, "Streams" is the story of the aftermath of the Arab Spring in Tunisia, a country which has abandoned the bearers of this revolution.
