Tunis at the time of Ramadan

The Tahar Haddad cultural space organises several special Ramadan evenings from 29 March to 13 April, with a programme alternating between music, theatre and cinema. An evening entirely dedicated to Tunisian cinema is planned for 6 April.

In addition, the Opera Theatre offers a concert featuring the Tunisian TV shows theme songs of this Ramadan, with maestro Racem Dammak and the national music orchestra, the national choir and the children's choir. A total of 140 musicians will be on stage on 2 April to perform songs from "Eddouwar", "El khottab al beb", "Choufli hal", "hsebet w akabet" and "ouled el ghloul". The opening night features a show entitled "Chechtri", in reference to the traditional malouf genre. The concert is performed by the artists Dorsaf Hamdani, Haïfa Yahyaoui and Mohamed Ali Chbil.

Finally, twenty-three shows are in the line-up for the 39th edition of the Medina Festival of Tunis which will be held from 27 March to 17 April in various venues in the Capital. After a winter session held from 11 November to 3 December 2022, the festival is back for its annual programme organised during the month of Ramadan. The shows will be spread between Dar Lasrem, Bir Lahjar, Club Tahar Haddad, Dar ben Achour (Library of the Medina of Tunis), the Municipal Theatre of Tunis and the Chedli-Klibi Center. The opening and closing performances will be given by Olfa ben Romdhane and Nabiha Karaouli respectively.
