On 30 March, the French Institute of Tunis invites musician Ghassen Gherissi for its Ramadan Nights 2023 ("Layali Ramadan") for a concert entitled "Papillon".
Press release from the French Institute: "Ghassen Gherissi draws his inspiration from reggae, jazz and ancestral music such as the Gnawa. He casts an eye on society that is neither naïve nor pessimistic, but as a witness to this world, this committed artist is convinced that his art will bring colour to the greyness. He militates for a colourful art that he sees as a way of reconnecting Tunisia to its continent, Africa."
The concert is free.
