The event will start on 23 September, and the call for applications for the screening of short films, feature films and documentaries is now open until 20 May. This programme is supported by NGO "Project'Heurts".
Bejaia, or "Bgayet" in Tamazight, is the prosperous capital founded in the 11th century by the Berber dynasty of the Hammadites and it is the place where Ibn Khaldun stayed. The city has hosted this festival dedicated to the seventh art since 2003, a real breath of fresh air in Algeria.
