To mark the last week of Musée d'Orsay's "Cinema at last" exhibition, trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf performs the world's first classical music improvisation film-concert in the nave of the old railway station.

Inspired by the giant screen projection of Fantomas' third opus, "Le mort qui tue", the Free Spirit Ensemble reinvents classical music and laughs at the norms imposed by the genre by improvising for 1 hour and 43 minutes on Louis Feuillade's legendary silent film. A success.

Classical music musician who studied at Paris Conservatoire and one of the jazz scene stars, Ibrahim Maalouf wants to break free from the usual codes and reinvent classical music.

The Free Spirit Ensemble welcomes twenty musicians from symphony orchestras and also Paris Conservatoire students.
