To celebrate the event, Barid Al-Maghrib group issues a special stamp.
This stamp is part of an annual programme of special stamps which are dedicated to the environment, and it adds to the philatelic collection for the animal world which began in 1962.
Rabat Zoological Garden has welcomed nearly 5.5 million visitors since its opening in 2012. Its mission is to present the richness of the Kingdom's natural ecosystems, give a space to Moroccan and African animal species, and conduct scientific research on rare species.
