The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of the Gaza Strip government announced the discovery of a lead coffin, during research and excavation work inside a cemetery discovered about a year ago in northern Gaza.
The ministry said in a statement that the lead coffin probably belonged to a senior official of the Roman Empire.
