The "Ghassan Kanafani Conference on Arab Fiction" concludes its activities in Amman

The three-day "Ghassan Kanafani Conference on Arab Fiction" has come to an end, with many Arab thinkers and novelists in attendance. Recommendations were made regarding the need to document Palestinian literature and the novel. The event was organised by the Palestinian and Jordanian Ministries of Culture.

Documenting Palestinian literature is an imperative, which can be achieved through the production of new archives on novelists and biographers of Palestinian history, the digitisation of these archives, or the creation of a website dedicated to sharing documents related to Palestinian literature. Translation should be encouraged in Western languages, so that Palestinian literature can be promoted in the West and an alternative to the Israeli narrative can be offered.
