The 2023 winners of the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity.

The names of the eighteen winners were revealed by the Department of Culture of the Emirate of Sharjah, by the Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Muhammad Ibrahim Al Qasir.

The winners are divided into six categories:

  • Poetry: the first prize goes to Ghaleb Ahmed Abdou Al-Atifi (Yemen) for his collection "Many things that do not belong to me".
  • Novel: the first prize goes to Ali Awwad Abdullah Khudair (Iraq) for his book "Shatan al-Ramad".
  • Short story: Author Reham Mahmoud Issa (Syria) won the first prize for "Samak Bahri".
  • Theatre: Syrian author Ibaa Mustafa Al-Khatib won the competition for his play "The Andalusian Butterfly".
  • Children's literature: Haider Muhammad Houri (Syria) won first place for his book "I will paint your dreams with poems".
  • Criticism: Egyptian Imane Essam Khalaf Kamel won first place for her study "Arabic Poetry and Digitization Transformations in Light of Technological Acceleration / Theoretical Framing and Applied Dimensions".
