The Joy Awards 2023 were held in Riyadh, and honoured artists and sportsmen from all over the world.
Achraf Hakimi, Moroccan player of the French club Paris Saint-Germain, reached with the Moroccan national team the fourth place at the last International Association Football Federation's World Cup, Qatar 2022.
The prize for the female athlete of the year was awarded to Saudi swimmer Mariam Saleh bin Laden. A dentist and professional swimmer, she made history last October by becoming the first Arab woman to cross the Red Sea between Saudi Arabia and Egypt. In 2016, the athlete became the first Saudi woman to swim across the English Channel.
