"Fez as we want it to be", a thirteenth edition at the initiative of the Moroccan Forum of Environmental Initiatives.

The president of the association "Environmental Initiatives" Abdelhay Raiss recalled the importance of the annual Day of Fez, which aims at mobilizing and strengthening the mechanisms of the city, but also accompanying its urban expansion and the implementation of environmental solutions to achieve Fez's best ecological transition of the city.

This special day featured several cultural activities including the screening of a documentary on the city and a ceremony paying tribute to several key personalities of Fez.

Founded on January 4, 808 by the Idrissids, Fez is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for the University of al-Qarawiyyin, one of the oldest universities in the world and the cradle of Morocco's independence struggle, as well as for the city's handcrafts and tanneries.
