Sirine Achkar's theater play "Inadapted" on stage in Paris.

Author and director, Sirine Achkar presents her new play, "Inadapted", at theater Comédie Nation, and has also published two new texts with French publishing house L'Harmattan, entitled "Le Pays du Sud" and "Seul, tel le vent".

The genesis of the play, produced by Sirine Achkar's independent company M-C-ART, began with a theatre workshop she led in a prison in Château-Thierry in December 2017. "For two weeks, I worked with five prisoners, who inspired me to create my four characters. The experience was very intense, I saw the human misery, the solitude, the suffering of those who need psychiatric care and who find themselves isolated, migrants who didn't speak a word of French... And I wanted to talk about this part of society that we don't see, by asking the question of the relevance of locking them up to promote their reintegration" - Sirine Achkar, interview for L'Orient-le-Jour.

The next dates of the show are the following:

  • Friday 20 January
  • Friday 27 January
  • Friday 3 February.
