Focus on Faida Matoukh

Passionate about landscapes and folklore, the Jordanian artist follows a predominantly realistic painting style, even though her recent work appear to be closer to the abstract expressionism movement. With vivid colours, she tells the story of the daily life of Jordanians, especially in her hometown Wadi Al-Seer, or of Circassians, who are her ancestors. Palestinian resistance is extremely present in her last paintings.
